Home is where the snack box is
Traveling around together for 6 years has brought us countless wild, silly, and/or fun stories — I suspect we’ll have many more in the years ahead. Yes, I know this is pretty cliche for a recently engaged couple, but whatever.
I once had a friend who didn’t want to share the photos he took because he didn’t want them posted on social media. His reasoning was that the experience was for himself, and by posting it online it made it something else — for the clout or whatever. He was right then and it’s gotten more true since.
On the other hand, I do want to share my stories and experiences with those closest to me. I also want to remember them myself! We’ve talked about starting a journal or something similar, but never got around to it (until now, I guess).
We call this journal, “Home is where the snack box is” because our snack box (a cubic foot box / ottoman filled with various delicious snacks) is a rare object of permanence in our otherwise nomadic lives.
Hope you enjoy!
Finally! There’s 6-plus years that we only got a glimmer of. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey and stories and taking us all along!
Yay! Can’t wait to dive in.
