Master Chef
I’ve been going to Teppanyaki (Kanki, Benihana, etc.) for my birthday for most of my life. It’s a bit silly but I like the food, the show is fun, and it always feels like a celebration. It’s always a good time. So when Stacey gifted me Kanki’s Master Chef course, I was through the roof.
The course is 90 minutes of training with their head chef and then I had the opportunity to surprise my friends with a full performance that night at dinner. It was AWESOME.
All my friends were very surprised when I came out with the chef outfit on and cart in hand — and they were even more supportive! I made an onion volcano and even successfully tossed a shrimp into a Elliot’s mouth (athlete!). I had the head chef nearby to help out, but I was able to manage most of the process myself. I still have some room for improvement, but the food turned out well and I was able to leverage many of my newly learned tricks for a fun show.
I had an absolute blast and so did my friends. I think I’ll be coming back next year to expand on my skills and run it back for my friends!
