The paved mountain

Crotched Mountain (yes, they named the mountain “Crotched”) is about 900 vertical feet of snow-paved wonder. New England has so much water, they can pretty much blow any hill into a ski resort.

We got to the mountain late, because it was open until 9pm so we could take our time. Two lifts and about 3 runs open. The larger lift, the “Crotched Rocket” (yes, they named their chairlift the “Crotched Rocket”), was 900v.ft. We did 6 laps, before stopping off for some beer. There was some kind of event inside the lodge that we I totally crashed. I made out with about a dozen free chicken wings. They were awesome (and even awesomer because they were free). We skied another 6 laps after sunset and and headed out.

While Stacey worked on her tele form, I was working on my backwards tele form. I fell (rather comically) a lot of times. If you ain’t falling, you ain’t trying!

Crotched marks the end of our New England journey — next we pick up the camper and begin our travels west!
