Tour de North Carolina

We spent most of August circling around North Carolina visiting friends and family. At the end of August we spent a few days at the lake with Jeremy’s sister, Carly, and her family. We also made our way down to Charlotte where Snack Box got to make some new friends watching football at Stevie & Haley’s house. After that we ventured to Asheville for a couple of nights to back it up with Carrie & Tyler at the Juvenile concert. Jeremy made his way up to Maine for a bachelor party in Portland, and I went back to western NC for Hunter’s birthday and saw a lot of friends I haven’t seen in awhile.

While in Raleigh we spent an afternoon checking out some random bands at the Hopscotch music festival and we kicked off the NFL season with melted cheese and ICLBs at Woody’s. We finally got our bikes in working condition again and did a few greenway rides and we’re getting back into indoor rock climbing. The Miata has also been getting a lot of use! She got to strap in her first car seat to take Nicholas out for his first ride in a convertible and she’s been getting a lot of time shifting between first and third gears as I slowly learn to drive stick shift 🙂
